Independent house of 180 m2 annexed to an old farmhouse. Located ten minutes from the town of Castril (Granada) and the entrance to the ‘Sierra de Castril’ Natural Park, in the hamlet of Los Cortijillos, No. 34.

The house is available for rent either as a whole or by individual rooms, for a family or a group of friends.

It has two double bedrooms and one triple, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining room with fireplace, and reading room.
EQUIPMENT
Heating and air conditioning, firewood, Wi-Fi, vintage furniture, eco-friendly cleaning products, artisanal soaps from the village, recycling, LED bulbs, and solar panels are provided.

Surrounded by dryland agricultural areas, our house features a nudist sunbathing area and is an ideal spot for observing the stunning night skies. We look forward to welcoming you for a unique experience in nature!
Discover “Los Cortijillos”
Our rural accommodation is located in “Los Cortijillos,” one of the charming villages and farmsteads of the municipality of Castril, home to 45 registered inhabitants. This picturesque spot is situated 1,000 meters above sea level, on the Castril high plateau, at the foothills of the majestic “Sierra de Castril” Natural Park and near the Portillo, San Clemente, and La Bolera reservoirs.
The climate of Los Cortijillos is a fascinating blend of mountain and semi-desert, with an average annual temperature of 14°C. Winters are cold and frequently snowy, springs and autumns are short and mild, and summers, though hot, feature cool and pleasant nights.
Cerro del Cubo, standing at 1,369 meters, is the closest geographical feature and adds an impressive touch to the landscape. Thanks to the combination of climates, the flora and fauna of Los Cortijillos are incredibly diverse, offering a natural spectacle that captivates its visitors.

The name of our accommodation, “Donde Duermen los Pájaros” (Where the Birds Sleep), has a special story. It originates from the book of poems written by Tomás Hernández Molina, awarded the XX Vicente Núñez Prize in 2022. This book, filled with beauty and sensitivity, reflects the peace and connection with nature that we aim to offer our guests. By choosing this name, we pay homage to poetry and the serenity it inspires, creating a refuge where every visitor can find their own corner of tranquility and charm.
